Turntable Resto Mods

A friend in PR offers restoration of older Technics and Marantz tables (re-wires the arm,  refreshes the motor, etc).  He spruces them up aesthetically by veneering. I think the result is appealing.  This is a Technics SL1500 mkii. OBG.

That is beautiful.   A huge visual improvement IMHO.   I'm sure it changes the resonant points as well, probably for the better.

What does one do to "refresh" a motor?

Very cool, I love the look of DIY or spruced up tables.

Did not ask what refreshing the motor entailed specifically (I was drooling at the veneer job - sorry).    :P

Does your friend have a website?   I have a buddy in California who might be interested in his services.

His name is Dennis Garcia.  If your friend contacts him he can use me as a reference (Pepe in Pittsburgh).
