Yamaha amp...did I score?

Hello all,
I recently purchased a Yamaha A-520 integrated off of CL. The seller said it "lights up but no sound". I gave him $25 for it and took it home and gave it a good Deoxit bath and now everything works fine. This amp isn't true "vintage" but does anyone know anything about it-is it just another piece of BPC? This is my first Yamaha.

I agree with Rev...how does it sound??? I think this is the 75 watts/per deal. What are you driving with it?????

So far it sounds good...it seems to have more grunt and is cleaner sounding than the vintage receivers I was running before it. I'm running it through Polk Monitor 5 Series II speakers.

If you find yourself listening to music all the time, it was a good deal.  This is in part a function of the components and speakers you connect to it and how they complement each other, IMO.

It doesn't look like BPC to me.   I've always really liked Yamaha stuff, though I have no experience with that one.   I say score.
