Fisher XP 15 speakers
« on: April 11, 2012, 07:53:53 PM »
I have a friend of mine starting out setting a system up. He is interested in vintage hifi and has a pair of these. I don't know anything about these and he is asking me if they would be good speakers.

Anyone have any experiences with these?

Thanks

I had a 48 inch Fisher big screen TV. It was OK. Looks like these are decent speakers if in good condition. What's he got in them? Heck...anything is a good start!!!  ;)

From what I found by googling them, they seem like they would be decent speakers for an all vintage set-up. The speakers might need some work, though. If all of the drivers work (especially the tweeter), then they should at least have the crossover caps replaced. But, I'd say they are worth putting the time into.
I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.
