I think it was a success based on what I saw during the two hours I was there.  Being the critical bastard the I can be,  I have some improvement suggestions below for the next one:

  • Improved marketing.  I did not see the advertisements in my areas Penny Saver.  We also could have printed flyers and have each member of the club distribute 100 of them in their respective areas (or just create a pdf flyer and send it to each member asking them to print and distribute)
  • Choose a date other than Memorial Day,  only because so many people travel on that weekend or are imprisoned by their spouses to host visiting relatives.
  • Set up more "great combo set ups" using some of the older stuff to show off the vintage  stuff.
  • Invite companies to sponsor the event (booths?  models wearing Carver logo'd bikinis?) and help us advertise - send emails to their respective marketing teams (Polk, etc.)
  • Invite the local press to cover the event.
