Crown amp buzzing at start-up
« on: February 10, 2013, 03:02:16 PM »
I have a dc300a Crown amp that buzzes at start-up through the right channel. The buzz gradually dissipates within about 5 minutes, and then it sounds fine after that. Has anyone ever experienced something similar, or have any idea what would be causing this?

Danke

I just discovered something to add. During the start up buzz this time I pushed on a bass driver and it caused to buzz to stop for a split second... Hopefully that's some help...

Who's ego do I have to stroke to get help with this one? C'mon Anders... I know you've got some advice for me... You are, in case you didn't know, the best audio technician on this side of the Mississippi...

Have you tried swapping the speakers to see if the problem stays on the right or goes with the speaker?

One of my D 150a Crowns did the same. I took it to the shop and Anders fixed it. You would have to talk to him to see what he did. Did not cost tree fiddy to repair it!

Funny SD.
F1, yes, I tried everything to narrow it down to being the right channel of the amp.
Randy, thanks. If I can ever get away to the shop again, I will ask Anders what he did to fix your amp.
