Testing boom boxes

The JVC is the only boom box I have ever seen with a turntable built-in.  Only in the shop will you find crazy stuff like that.  The 909 is more common,  but it is tough on the shoulders and requires AC power.  Only plays reels too. So the JVC wins this one for convenience.

Too funny!

Looks good on you though!  LOL!  Get some baggies, shades and strut into the shop with it.  Pepe comes with his own soundtrack LOL!

Always wanted to take a crappy boom box and make it sound good.
I did but it was a little Lloyds which is not as impressive as a JVC.
My boombox has like modded minimus 7 speakers.
Just cassette and radio.

The best SOUNDING boom box I've ever heard was the Bose Acoustic Wave Machine (I know~).  They are expensive as hell, but they do kick ass for a boom box.

B & O made an amazing boom box in the 1980s, about 4" thin and $400 back in the day, but the sound blew me away.
