board game thrift store score
« on: September 23, 2013, 11:42:25 PM »
After three years of heavy thrifting, I finally found it! A complete, working copy of the Dark Tower board game. Gale had this a long time ago and used to play it with her brother. It was only made for a year (legal issues) and is very desired among fantasy game collectors (and you know how they are, look it up on eBay). When I came through the door with it this evening, her jaw just dropped. I told her that I wouldn't give up until I found it. Board game at thrift shop... four dollars. Bringing (if for a brief moment) tears of joy to your wife's face... priceless!

I received one as a gift recently.  I KNOW they spent a lot more than $4.  Congrats.  I like playing it solo too.

If they paid less that a hundred they did well.   You can't use this find as a barometer.
