Monocular to see stuff

http://www.amazon.com/Carson-CloseUp-Close-Focus-Monocular-CF-718/dp/B0010KZJXC/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=5UTZ7HEJXLTE&coliid=I1DKGNNFVGEC7C
I'm just about to order above Monocular so I can see the index counters on my RTR recorders, the digital LCD printout on my tuner giving station, artist, and song details and the readout on my CD jukebox. My recliner is about 8' away.
Any thoughts before I order?
Thanks

PBJ-I have the same problem trying to read the display on my Sony HD radio from 12 feet away. I suppose any cheap binocular might also work, like the garage sale specials I find for a few bucks.

@MacGeek. Be careful as most do not focus closer than about 15' or more. Notice the ones I listed specifically say "close focus". I'll post my results once I get them.

Brad, at first glance I read monocle and was a bit confused.
Might be a good look for you though.

I received the Monocular via UPS today and am glad to report they are exactly what I wanted. I can now read the displays and check out all settings on my gear without getting up from my recliner. Awesome!

Not needing to get up is important. Remaining seated in your sweet spot allows for uninterrupted listening:)

That model is pretty cool and for the price not bad at all.
I carry this mini-monocular from Zeiss, comes in real handy and is great for it's size, very compact, easy to carry around too.

Zeiss optics are awesome. Can't really compare the two though. The Zeiss is $180 and mine was $17. Only problem with the Zeiss for my application is that they only focus as close as 12' which isn't close enough for me.
