Another (brief) review
GraphicFX:
I purchased an adcom GTP350 from our one of our members
Probably not the best pre out there, but my first.
Of the many things I;ve noticed, was it's quietness. It seemed to open that void of seperation between a passage and its corresponding silence, or an intro to another passage. I can go on and on. but the one element that raised the hair on the back of my neck was what I heard when listening to a live recording of "big River" from the Grateful Dead's "Reconing" album.
The pensiveness in Bob Weir's voice, seemingly unsure if they were going to break in to another jam or begin the close of "Big River". I never Heard that detail until the Adcom entered the picture
That, right there, made it worth the small price (70 bucks), for this basic entry level preamp/tuner
Quite impressive. Oh;, and WQED and WYEP sound as good as any FM tuner I've auditioned
My 2 cents
Adcom GTP350 Preamp/tuner
THANX Jim.
Sir Thrift-a-Lot:
I think I looked at one of those but decided against it because it didn't have a phono pre. Do I recall that correctly?
RuralTom:
That is correct, STaL, the 350/450 models don't have a phone pre. As much as I was happy with my 450, it has been mothballed ever since I picked up a turntable....
Jim Pittsburgh:
glad it found a good home!

I think it did. Thanx for your hospitality and warmth, Jim. I'm sorry I couldn't make it to your party.
