My set up is simple effecient and works well at least for me.

Nothing spectacular at all but sounds rather nice.

Sansui AU517 Integrated amplifier
Polk audio PSW 10 subwoofer
DCM Timeframe TF400 speakers
Sony blue ray player

Simple is good!  I have that same Polk subwoofer in my office.  Great sub for the price!

That Sansui is a keeper and you can never go wrong with a Sony BluRay!
