It was an innocuous edit that hardly warranted a note. I did not change any content, just fixed a formatting issue.

Editing is disabled so posts are permanent. However, They are subject to moderation and that is not going to change.
If you post something offensive you will definitely get a note from someone.

Btw, Although you can't edit a post, there is a "preview" button on the post page so you can check your message and make corrections before you save it.
