E -> emergency,  called at the last minute to address an urgent topic.  In this case I still have no idea what the urgent topic was (I know I helped Adam fix his CR-1,  and we listened to the line drive which I had not experienced before...).  I think there was an urgency to make Monday less sucky.  Bearjew was there too with Shinley (who mocked my pronunciation,  gotta love her!).

How did Rev's DIY preamp compare to the ModSquad?  Still using my passive.  The transparency and zero noise floor are just unbeatable.  And it does a whole bunch of other things right too.

"I know I helped Adam fix his CR-1"

Interestingly I had given BJ my CR-1A as I wasn't using it (all 3 of my 3 head decks are working great. He gave it back as he wasn't using it. I listen to a lot of jazz & classical on bedroom system at night and frequently hear some stuff I'm sorry I didn't record. I hooked up the CR-1A to the bedroom stereo and it's doing a surprisingly good job recording for a two head deck. Recorded one of my favorite trumpet concertos a few nights ago of the PSO on The Pgh Concert Channel, 89.3 FM HD-2.

"Bearjew was there too with Shinley (who mocked my pronunciation,  gotta love her!)."

Don't worry, nobody expects a Puerto Rican that floated over on a cheap particle board door covered with contact paper to pronounce Xinlei. Hell, half the Pirates need interpreters!  Of course she would probably pronounce your names Josey or PeePee... >:D

wish i could have stayed later; i'm a pussy though, i need beauty sleep on work nights.  haha pepe, common misconception is to pronounce X as SH or J, but in reality, it's just a really hard S sound.  it was good seeing you guys though; it's been a while since we had a little get together like that.  and Brian, you need to come down to Pittsburgh one of these days!

Hey - mispronouncing Xinley's name is fair payback!

The stuff on the TV shelf had to do w Rev testing the baby carver with that whole config.  Subwoofer needs a miniDSP to voice properly, in my opinion.   ^-^

Zephyr sounds good,  much better than what Rev had in there before.  But I suspect the Funk TT is on its final legs at the Mahaffey household.  The place smelled of TT upgrade in the offing.

Brian did cometo Pitt at least once that I can recall - did I imagine that>    ???
