New (to me) vintage Pioneer SA-9500 TX-9500
« on: January 26, 2010, 08:54:56 PM »
Just scored these great vintage Pioneer SA-9500 integrated amp and TX-9500 tuner. Looks and function are very near mint.. Pioneer built the SA-9500 to last forever!! Sound is superb on both units. Wonderful tuner with 5 gang FM, and 3 gang AM. Picks up great even without an antenna. ;D
The amp is truly overbuilt, 80w.p.c. but really sounds awesome, and much more powerful. Truly one of the finest amp's I ever had the pleasure of listening to.  Just promoted to one of my all time personal favorites. :o :o :o There is a lot of info online if anyone wants to know more. Please enjoy the pics. Sorry for the lousy camera, just to damn cheap to buy a better one ???

Wow Mike the 9500 series is serious stuff.  I've always wanted to hear that tuner.  Congrats!  First class vintage hifi right there.  It looks sooooooo nice! ;D

Thank's Paden, The pics do not do them justice. The faceplate's are clean and shiny, my camera just does not pick it up..

Carl you are correct, top notch vintage gear. If someone had told me this SA-9500 would sound better than the big Sansui integrated's, I would have said BS.. Now I know.  So now I must find more!!! I want to complete a system. Anyone have the SG-9500 EQ. for trade? Or RT-707? Maybe even some vintage Pioneer speaker's?

I am switching between Infinity Reference Five's, Polk Audio Monitor 10a's, and I just got a pair of vintage Yamaha NS-670's from Vintage Hi Fi that I will try tonight.
I just love switching back and forth :D :D :D
