Dual 1219 or 1229 Wanted (Pgh. Area)

I would like to purchase an excellent condition Dual 1219 or 1229 turntable from someone in the Pittsburgh or Western Pa. area --- maybe a little farther away; I'd like to be able to pick it up.

Plenty of 1219s and 1229s on ebay . . . but it seems that one barely has a chance of receiving a really good unit, no matter the seller's description.

I bought one Dual on ebay years ago. The table was fine, the seller was a putz. It took a month to get it.

Not sure how familiar you are with Duals. One of the biggest issues with certain models is the Single / Multi lever. Do NOT force it, if it doesn't slide smoothly then it needs serviced. A few years ago forcing it left the table useless, there are 3D parts now but it's not an easy fix.

If you contact them, ask if the Start lever functions, it looks a little off center.

I do have a 1219 which is in pretty good shape but there are some water stains on the wooden base.
I think its fully functional but i'll have to check it again.

The little cartoon dialogue bubble to the left of the post under the user name or just click the user name and find the message link on their profile.   Be sure to check the box "save message to my outbox" under where you type the body of the message.   This board doesn't do that by default.
