Carver M500T - Weak Left Channel
« on: December 16, 2021, 10:10:52 AM »
Hey there,

I have a nice Carver M-500T, but the one channel is very weak.   Does anyone know someone who repairs gear?  I guess Galaxie?

I've had this for a while and was hoping to keep it alive.

Any advice is much appreciated, thanks.

Vince is the only person I'm aware of, but I have no idea how much work he takes on nowadays. I've heard he only does receiver/amps and turntables now. There have to be more techs out there, but I never hear about them. Seems no one wants to do that kind of work anymore, another 10 yrs and we're going to be paying a king's ransom.

There are two main Carver web sites, I'd go there are ask where to send it. Those people really know their Carver gear!
a bunch of nice sounding stuff. Nice that I'm finally able to actually listen to file music for the first time...

I don't know anything about this tech, but have seen his CL posts.

Thanks for the suggestions

Yah, its crazy how tough it is to find a tech today.  You'd think if you hustled, one could make a living between hifi and instrument amplifiers?
