BrianT:
What part are you looking for.

Brian

MacGeek:
Specifically, a type 551x or 552x DC motor.  Later 4002, the 4004 and 6000 models likely have these motor types.

BrianT:
Is that a platen motor, or arm motor.

A picture would be great if you have one, as I do have a 4002
lying around.

Brian

MacGeek:
It's the platter motor.  Sorry I can't provide a pic, the motor was sent to be rebuilt and found to be trashed and unrepairable.

If you check the bottom of the 4002, there is a label indicating the model type (551x, 552x, etc).  Early versions used and A/C motor, which will not work.  Later versions were D/C.

The B & O turntable model numbers can be confusing.  Does your 5500 have a black sloping control panel on the right side, that also serves a a hidden place to park the tone arm assembly?
