Carver sd/a-350 no longer reading discs

Any suggestions on a sd/a-350 that no longer recognizes discs?  I first tried to play a cleaner cd.  No luck.  I popped the top and cleaned the lense.  Still no luck.

I have a 350 coming in this week doing the same thing. Let me meddle with it for a few hours and I will give you some answers.
