I started listening to a cassette I bought at Goodwill called "The Great Tenors".  Glad I only paid $1 for it as it sucks. It‘s bad enough the quality of the recording sucks but some moron keeps coughing during the first track which is Jose' Carreras.  Sounds like someone recorded it on a Walkman. The guy that was coughing should have been shot for not leaving. One loud bang from a .45 would be more tolerable than this schmuck. Anyway, popped in another cassette instead that I bought at the same time called "This Is The Moody Blues" and it sounds great.

Styx II followed by Rick Wakeman "Journey to the Centre of the Earth".  Both were recorded by me consecutively on the same tape from borrowed LP's back in January '75

Eric Clapton "There's One In Every Crowd" on a cassette I recorded 8-2-88 from vinyl.  Next is the flip side, Clapton "461 Ocean Blvd"  recorded the same day.

Herbie Mann "Super Mann" LP from 1978. Yeah it's disco but my little 2 year old granddaughter
(Baby Bearjew) loves to dance to disco. So there are no rumors Bearjew is Baby Bearjew's uncle.
Confused yet?

Carver ribbons buzzing out to Norah Jones
I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.
