An unbelievably clean ATCO first press from the SA.   It was a good day at the thrift today.   I got a nice stack of vinyl.   Any time I find thrift store vinyl in MOFI sleeves i get mixed feelings.   On one hard, I am always happy to invite such nice stuff into my collection.   OTOH, I just picture some guy a few years farther along than me, who obviously loves his collection, taking the big dirt nap and his kids saying "time to haul all Dad's junk down to the Salvation Army".

Not what I was expecting.   I knew their 70s stadium rock stuff but only knew the hit ("Twilight Zone") off this one.   It is much more power pop-ish than I would have expected.   There are good harmonies and nice hooks.   I like it.

NOFX! I am a nofx freak! Listened to Heavy Petting Zoo last night.  I just never put it on here because I figured most audiophile types aren't into punk rock -- hah awesome!  My band has a similar sound to early nofx.  Get Self Entitled (the new album) its awesome.   Saw them do the decline live about a month ago in cleveland.  Anyway.. When in rome.  This album title is referring to some of the usual suspects on the forum...

I saw NOFX on that tour.  I grew up on punk/hardcore.  During the late 80's-early/mid 90's, punk bands were the only ones still putting out vinyl.  The majority of it is recorded like ass but what do you expect.  One of my favorites of all time:
