Yeah, first day in two weeks that I didn't have work or a visit to my mom.   I spent the day listening, cleaning and listing records for sale.   It's about to the point where my favorite hobby is becoming my part time job.

I have a thing for 10" records.   They are just so cool looking.   Luckily this one also happens to have great tunes on it.   No "Look Sharp!" pin though.

Found a nice mono 'Pet Sounds' today.

Haven't cleaned it and "that's not me' sounds amazingly full.  As does the next tune , 'Don't talk, put your head on my shoulder'. Bass is clear as a you can get.

Capitol Rainbow or Brother label?

"MASTERDISK RL" (Robert Ludwig) both sides, Elmore James credit, NM, thrift store...

Test record material.   Textured gatefold cover, MASTERDISK all four sides but RL only one.   No matter, it still sounds fabulous.

When I find a clean copy that is "RL" all four sides, I'll give you this one.   

BTW, if you ever see the "value savers" (or something like that) non-gatefold edition, check the deadwax for "KG".   That is a Kevin Gray cut and is also very highly thought of.   I like the Ludwig approach with a bit of smiley face, but many people swear by the Gray version for it's warm midrange.   The difference is subtle, but I like the RL better.

Its on Capitol with what I guess is the rainbow, outer portion of label, correct?

Yes, the rainbow around the perimeter.   If you like that, find a Brother reissue.   They sound even better.   

I'm a heretic.   I like the recent stereo mix better than any mono I've heard.   If I ever find the Analog Productions stereo cheap I'll get one.   Right now I have the Capitol from a few years ago and it is fine.
