Animal House was required viewing for both my sons before they went off to college. I know it's a double standard but if I had daughters I'm sure I would have felt differently.

I also the National Lampoon magazine that the movie was based on, it was issued before the movie debuted.

Buccos taking some lumps tonight, OUCH!, and on Hurdle's birthday , why do they play so bad on the road?

Scored some LPs today, Paul Simon, ELO, Cat Stevens, Neil Diamond, Dan Fogelberg, Beach Boys and one PBJ might like, Olivia Newton John- Greatest Hits, unopened.

Just listened to;
Beach Boys- Best of the Beach Boys, Vol. 2, marked Capitol Starline- Duophonic for Stereo Phonographs
Now
ELO, A New World Record- My first and only ELO, don't know why I never got into them.

Man, I hate duophonic records.   Although it wasn't as bad as the fake stereo RCA did to the early Elvis records.   Give me stereo or give me mono.   Keep the fake stuff.

Listening to Beethoven's Fifth.  Sitting on a screened in porch on Ocracoke Island, NC.   Enjoying the breeze and watching the bikers and walkers going by  the house.

Last day at the beach.  Heading there around 11 for another day of body surfing and keeping a lookout for sharks.

I like everything you scored. I have been an ELO fan for years. "Face The Music" is my favorite. "Xanadu" basically is ELO on one side and Olivia Newton-John.  Pretty good stuff

Live Dead.   Got it at a yard sale yesterday.   Based on side one I suspect this will be a listen to only once LP.   Aimless noodling just isn't my thing.

That side one 'Dark Star' isn't aimless!!  Its more an acquired taste.   Side two with St. Stephen into the Eleven picks up the pace a bit. You get the sidelong 'Lovelight"   And I think side four has their cover of the timeless Joseph Spence classic 'And we bid you goodnight'
