Spinning some Eno.  "tiger mountain"

Amazing detail with this new home made pre-amp that Vince dropped off yesterday.  And he came back today, took apart and fixed the HPM100 that had an issue.

Spasibo!

Great album.

Found a lot of great vintage vinyl lately and currently listening to " out of our heads" by that band of old geezers still touring.  Not a bad version of " let the good times roll" the Sam Cooke tune.  In stereo ...

Tonight on the turntable is Lazy Lester "Poor Boy Blues", on Flyright , in glorious mono.

Special ordered a bunch of these Legendary Jay Miller Sessions import LPs from Jim's, way back in the mid 80s.  Killer swamp blues and rockabilly from the late 50s/early 60s, recorded in Crowley, Lousiana.  It doesn't get anymore down home than this stuff

GRRR, wondering if that sale is the same guy who posts vinyl for sale in Kennedy. Either way I'll be on a plane headed to Denver for a few days.

Just tossed on Side two of a pink label Capricorn copy of Allmans at the Fillmore East.  Those guitars really have some bite, played loud.

I've heard the pink label is the best but have never owned one.   Maybe we can A/B that and my Japanese Quiex copy some time.

STaL,
We can do that.  Drop me a line when you are ready.

In the meantime, I'm spinning the John Hammond release , his fourth, I think,  "So Many Roads."  Hearing some familiar tones, I look at the back cover and listed as sidemen are Jimmy Lewis bass, C.D. Musselwhite harmonica, Jaime R. Robertson guitar, Mark Levon Helm drums, Michael Bloomfield piano,  and lastly Eric Hudson on Hammond organ.   I guess Ricky and Richard were at the bar.......

The double vinyl was $8 in Deep Discount's Blowout Bin.   I couldn't resist at that price.   The vinyl is quiet and flat and more importantly JB still knows how to write a great song.
