WTT sub for amp
« on: December 02, 2009, 10:30:41 PM »
So I got a bangin a** car sub that BLA BLA BLA
Just kidding

I have an AE308 home sub. 10" woofer. 200 watt amp. Ported enclosure. Claimed to hit 18hz although I find it hard to believe out ot a single 10" woofer. It is a nice sub though. retailed somewhere in the neighborhood of $1200. Paid around $700 for it about 5 years ago. It sounds very musical and it meshed well with my mirages. I just don't use it anymore. I have the original box, spikes & rubber feet, and manual. It does have some light scratches on top from my old roomate's obnoxious dog. Nothing serious, but i must disclose.

I am looking for a decent power amp. Maybe something in the 150-200 wpc range to power my McIntosh xr16s. Let me know.

I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.

It'll be made to look silly vs. your sunfire. But.... yeah I probably will

OCCD is in need of some subs.  He has lots of amps right now and needs more subs.  You sub is pretty!  Love the color.
Got Carver?

That sub is really nice looking.

If I wasn't trying to buy everything else in the audio world right now, I'd think about it.

Sounds like a nice trade  :D. Definitely plenty of power. How do you think it will mesh with the macs? I ran them off my dad's DH500 and thought,"oh, that's what they sound like." The m500 is about the same power...

king-edwin,

That is a beautiful looking Sub you've got there. WOW ! The M500 by the way will definitely "take care of business" for you in your application. The condition of the Amp is beautiful as well ED.

I Hope Everything Works Out ED.--------BILL
