Ever lend gear to a friend who doesn't give it back?

I'm just venting here...

I lent my SR60's to a friend four months ago. I've asked him for them back at least once a week for the past four months. Every time I ask him when I can come to his house (an hour away) and pick them up, he's "busy" or not available. I'm really getting sick of this  bullshit.

A friend that uses you for his purpose...I've met a few. Go get your shit and don't lend to him anymore. If he asks why...give him the same treatment he is giving you!

I lend gear all the time. No one has f**ked me yet. I would have to call Moose and Rocco to collect.

Haha. I got ahold of him tonight. I told him that I need them back this weekend. He said he'll meet up with me on his way to Z&M Harley. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

That sucks to hear he is ducking you on getting your stuff back.  Must be a nice piece of equipment.

I hope he follows through and returns it.

Eh, it's only a pair of Grado SR60's. I guess I'm just bitter over it.

Whatever it is you lent him, if you have to jump through hoops to get it back then......he is not really your friend.

On that note  - I borrowed a Stereo Review mag from Tom that I need to return - includes a review of the C-4000 sonic holography amp.  Check out Bob on the test bench messing with the C-4000 back in 1979.  I need to meet him some day.

I hate to philosophise on these pages, but a wise old man once gave advice that I have lived by;

Never lend anything to a friend or family member that you really mind losing.

I have lived by this and never had a sleepless night or lost a friend.
