Marantz under the tree.
« on: December 25, 2010, 06:55:15 PM »
I got a Marantz 1060 amplifier for Christmas from my dad. It is a beautiful amp and sounds fantastic. Here are some pictures. Also my dad cleaned all the controls, the boards and the faceplate.
thanks for reading and thank you dad.

That is a great sounding amp, Many people think one of the finest Marantz made.  It is based on the 2230, and very well built.
Little Mikey has a bad ass system, and for the money he has invested in it, it is down right amazing!!!    If any of you get the chance, you should hear it.

I have no doubt how good Mikey's system must sound.  I was running the Monitor 7's with a 2230 and the sound was amazing.  What is even more amazing is the cost of a 2230 or a 1060 with a pair of Monitor 7's can be had for around $200 or sometimes less.  That setup will sound better than many systems costing several times more.  High quality sound doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg to enjoy.

Congrats Mikey on your Christmas gift and fabulous system.

Regards,
Carl

I heard Little Mikey's system the other day.  Very nice sounding set up.......good taste in music too.  He was listening to Porcupine Tree.
