Mackie FR 1400 amp. Works perfect. Rack rash. $200

Yamaha SW118V sub. Works perfect. Looks good outside of the metal grill being slightly pushed in. $200

Ed - what is your opinion on the Yammy sub?  what sis you use it for?  Looks to be something I would see at a convert venue.

It's a very loud sub. I used it in my basement for jamming. It mostly picked up my kick and floor tom. I crossed it over around 200hz and ran 900wrms into it. The specs I posted are wrong. It's actually the sw118IV not V. It handles 500rms 1000peak with sensitivity of 96db. That means it can put out continuous 123 db and around 126 db peaks.
I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.

Kind of the opposite of the bagend infrasub 18, which goes really low but not very loud
