Fuzzy DCD 1520
« on: April 01, 2011, 10:45:45 AM »
While listening to my Denon DCD 1520 this morning I noticed between songs there was a quiet static. Annoying, but I can get over it. Then the channel got more and more distorted. At times it would even cut out completely. The distortion comes and goes, but the static remains. This is only happening in one channel.
My question is: If this was your deck, would you spend the money to fix it, or pick up a new deck? If I got a new deck I'd be looking to get another 1520 and keep this one for parts.

 Thanks,
Ed
I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.
