A good problem to have

I spent the last three days trying to get the crossover points and gain correct on this temporary system.  I can set the xo points for any one cd, but the goal is to tune the speakers to every cd.  I didnt believe I would need it but I will be adding a equalizer.  I havent had this much fun playing with my stereo in a long time and should only get better with the eq.  Its 6:30am right now and I am tired after spending all night playing.  Sorry its such a bad pic but its still worth seeing.  Enjoy and thank you for looking.  nick

add the equalizer,  your ears are the ultimate judge.  i have one and I loop it in for some types of music, and recordings.

The crossover is only to find the cut off points, I needed a three way stereo.  Then, have a dedicated external crossover made, hopefully tube, so my rack doesnt look like poop having pro gear in it.  But after hearing it, I do believe an equalizer will be needed.

Yeah, understand about the pro stuff, but some of it is very good and fills a void the easy way.
Pro crossovers are OK as they really don't have much to do.

One of the best things when you switch to computer driven music is that equalizers are exceptional.

At some point, all here will have computer driven music because it is better in many ways. (like having the best equalizer money can buy for nearly free)
If you play tunes with an ipod or a cd player - that is a computer, just a poor one.  ;D

Of course you don't have to just have computer driven music.  You can have both.  All my past purchases this year have been on my analog system.  It is incredible and improving --   :-X

So, I am saying that part of the fun is in the tunes, and part (at least for us) is in f**king with the gear.
