I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.

I was just thinking the same thing.  That'll go nice with a head-rig.

Well, evidently "Steve" couldn't wait for me to get back from a business trip on Thursday evening.  He replied to my email and I was evidently the first to contact him on the DAC.  Somebody else showed up quicker with the cash though and got a good deal.  Damn this job......... ;D.......made me miss more than one local deal.

That's a shame.  You should have sent me a PM.  I would have picked it up and held it for you until you came back.
