I am a fan of Stout, but it is hard to find where I live. It might be the beer most easy for a homebrewer to duplicate, but apparently the market demand is small. About the only place you can find good stout is at a decent microbrewery, and it will be on tap, no carry out.
Trying to buy a keg of stout is not possible in my neck of the woods. I like Sam Adams Creme, but it is not a dry stout.
In the bottle you can get get Guinness which is good but lacks that fresh taste. The cans, and in my opinion, the draft is crap. Over the world, there are many versions of Guiness, and in my opinion, the only decent one available to Americans is the bottle version which is made in Canada now I believe. When I hit the lottto, my first trip will be to Ireland.
