We don't usually do much of anything for New Years, other than watch the ball drop.  When I was still in the Boston area my kids and I went to First Night as often as we could.  Never been to one in Pittsburgh, but then public transit in Boston was superior to what it is here.

Watched a movie with my wife at home.  No snacks or alcohol :(  Then we turned on Dick Clark to watch the ball drop!

Instead of dawning a suit and an evening gown and going to a fancy restaurant and night club in Pittsburgh, we decided to do the dive bar thing. We went to the Golden Pheasant, a little dive, by my house up near IUP. It was pretty awesome. Everyone was shitfaced, and there were "Let's go Pens" chants at random!
