Design Acoustic D-8's

I picked these speakers up recently more out of habit than necessity. I'm going to bring them to the shop tomorrow night to put on consignment. I am absolutely impressed with how these things sound. The imaging is as close to ribbons as I've heard with conventional drivers. The specs are sketchy at best as no one including the DA yahoo group has any info on them. They are around 44" x 16" x 11" and weigh in around 75# each. Made somewhere from 1974 to 1979. Per speaker there are (2)10" rear facing woofers, 3.5" mid, (1) dome tweeter and 5 other random drivers pointed in random directions. They do have standard push terminals, a fuse block and separate gain controls for high/low/mid.
I've been cranking them for the past hour, even gave them the black lining test and not a single issue. Great speakers. Here's a few pics I found on the internet, I haven't had a chance to photograph them.

Interesting design - they have a direct-reflecting thing going with the rear tweeters etc. DA used to have decent speakers for low bucks up until the late 90s. I still have a pair of PS-66s in the basement HT. Look forwards to auditioning these.

We set them up at the shop last night. The bass response was a lot better than at my house. Very nice sounding speakers.
