HI, VHF Forum
« on: January 19, 2012, 04:34:51 PM »
Hello, I came across this site while searching for info on my OLD audio equipment. It has set idle for the last 20 plus years. I wanted to hear what I had been missing. I had 4 low freq. drivers re-foamed,and cleaned all the rotary controls with Deoxit. Went to several stores asking for a rack mount cabinet and you thought I was talking a different language! I found a couple old RCA stereo cabinets in Canfield but had to buy both. I fitted them with rack rails from Hank at "Get Off My Case" in Ellwood City, and started to resurrect the old stuff. I got a Carver tuner and cd player from VHF. It was a neat experience....good people! When all hooked up my M400 cube had issues, took it to the store to get repaired and left with a Hafler 500 to try! It sounds very good,I'll probably buy it.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Crown D150a x 2,Crown IC150a ,Crown OCa,JBL L300 Summit,JBL L65,Carver M400(with issues),Carver TX 11b tuner,Carver PSD 36b cd player,DBX 1BX,and soon to be mine Hafler DH 500

Those L300 are one of my dream speakers, even though I don't have anywhere to put them even if I found some.

Willkommen in der verrückten Haus!
I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.
