Watch Repair/Service

Hi Guys,

Any recommendations for watch repair?  Might just need a battery, or maybe more, like seals/ movement, etc.

Depends what type of watch it is and where you bought it.  If you think it's just the battery you can take it anywhere, including kiosks at the mall.  Some watches, like my Tissot or Tag Heuer, need to go back to the manufacturer even for a battery change.  Probably worth taking it back to where you bought it and listen to their recommendation.

Batteries plus will do the battery, but they can be more expensive than the Mom and Pop stores.

That's funny Carl -- in the late '80's, had a bunch of cheapo Timex and Casios  - loved it!

Rev, it's and old movado eliro.  Got caught in the rain, crystal fogged up then watch stopped.  I may try a mall kiosk -- being stainless, am afraid if they run into problems, may cost me a new body.  :/

Dan, I recently purchased a Seiko SKX 007. It's truly worth the cash you'll spend on it! :)

My best advice would be to search online for a Movado specialist, ship it to them with insurance, and let them take a look.

If i'm not mistaken your movado eliro is a $1000+ watch, well worth getting looked at.

Movado does have a repair division:  http://www.movado.com/customer-service/repairs  They don't list any watch repair locations in PA.

No numbers, date, second hand, barometric pressure, sea level of Japan,. . .  , when I look at a watch,  JUST TELL ME THE TIME ! ! !

haven't looked for Timex's lately, but rememeber several Casio's fitting this bill. . .
