Growing up in a rural area with access to only a couple of very commercial radio stations, I had no idea what "Stax" or "Muscle Shoals" were. I did, however, get to see the Blues Brothers movie and hear Duck lay down those thick, swampy grooves. I feel a great debt to this man, may he rest in peace.
