Benchmark announces new DAC
« on: October 13, 2012, 09:53:24 PM »

Benchmark is proud to announce the new DAC2 HGC. The DAC2 HGC features eight balanced 32-bit D/A converters that are summed together to form a pair of balanced outputs. It also supports 24-bit/192kHz PCM as well as native DSD conversion. Other features include sample rate and word length display, UltraLock2™ jitter attenuation, asynchronous USB audio 2.0, polarity switch, home theater bypass, bi-directional 12V trigger, additional analog and digital inputs and outputs, digital pass-through, and high-efficiency low-noise power supplies.

Over 20 new features and technologies are packed in the same DAC1 form factor. Benchmark and authorized dealers are currently accepting pre-orders. The DAC2 HGC is available in black and silver face plates, and retails for $1,995 in the USA. Expected ship date is Friday, October 19.

If you plan on attending Rocky Mountain Audiofest this weekend in Denver, Colorado, or the Audio Engineering Convention in San Francisco, California on October 26-29, we will be showing demonstration of the DAC2 HGC.

This is the best Benchmark digital-to-analog converter to date. You will not be disappointed.
