I just got two pair of Paul Speltz's Anticable level 2 speaker wire today, he is famous for using solid core copper wire. If it sounds half as good as the reviews, its a steal at $12/ft per pair. I have been told by numerous audiophiles I have dealt with throughout the years to give these a try. Now, I finally got a pair, actually two. Unfortunately, I do not have any stereos set up right now and it may be a minute before personal reviews follow. It is fantastic looking and I got it terminated with the z-plugs banana style connectors When I do hook it up, I will be comparing these against MIT terminator 2 and Monster MCX 2S series speaker wires. Hopefully, the review will be done sometime next week.

What about interconnect cables, what is your position on those Nick? Have you found that make a decent difference at a reasonable price?
Let us know how the anti cables perform.

This is my first experience with anticables, if this goes well, I am going to buy I/C's next. They rarely go on sell in the used market and that usually tells us a lot.

Basically the same as Mapleshade's cables. Both are magnetic wire, thinly coated solid copper wire, used in electric motors.
Having heard both, I hope to never hear them again.

Hmm...
What is the theory behind using a magnetic coated single copper wire?

Solid core is usually not the best for speaker or interconnect wire.
Stranded and litz is usually best.
I use a rare litz interconnect called LiveWire Double Braid Litz.
