I have a Theta Pre I am going to sell and I have a Chiro Class A amp that does 100 watts per channel at the shop.  I don't know if that will be of any use to you.  If still looking for a pair of speakers I heard Shayne's and they sound very nice and are priced right.
Speakers: Nearfield Acoustics Pipedreams Reference 18
Amplifier:
Mark Levinson ML3 (subs)
Phison A2.120SE (towers)
Preamplifier/DAC/Phono: Phison PD2SE
Server: Pi & NUC
Turntable: VPI HR-X, VdH Colibri XGW

I am looking for a set of the Large Advent. Hopefully I can find a nice pair.  In think I am good on amps/receivers. I just came across an MCS on craiglist and it "looked" nice.

Alot of the MCS stuff was essentially Technics stuff rebranded. Not the upper class stuff, but not junk either. Depends on the model. Look at where it was made and by whom. I have an old MCS 8 track player/recorder in the original box nearly new. It worked out great but we are talking 8 track!!!!!
IN REALITY IT ONLY MATTERS WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE TO YOU!!!!!

I had a MCS 3872 integrated amp.  Its a mystery as to to true maker.  Wasn't a Technics (as most MCS stuff was).
I suspect it was a NEC product.  Not a single label inside to disclose it mfr.

But...I would put it up against many int amps of that era any day. It was a superb amp.
