Hi Eric, Nice score. I'm quite familiar with the A-1500. If memory serves it is the auto reverse version of the A-1200. I used to sell them while in high school working for Lafayette Radio Electronics. I was about to buy the A-1200 when they introduced it's replacement, the A-1230. I bought that directly through TEAC as a "salesman promotional unit" for half list price. It sure was a great deal. I bought it February 22, 1972 and it's still going strong. Vintage Hifi did have to work on it about a year ago. The pinch roller assembly has issues over the years where the lubricant dries up in the mechanism causing the pinch roller assembly to either lock up or move with much resistance. This is the most common ailment of the A series TEACS. Other wise they are quite solid and sound quite nice. I'm curious what is wrong with it? And yes Vintage Hifi does fix them. If I can offer assistance in any way feel free to ask. I have been heavy into reel to reel decks since 1970 and still going strong. I now have 4 of them.
