I was looking for a pair of headphones more suitable to my current needs. Never cared for headphones much but when my granddaughter wants to watch Sesame Street, or my wife wants to watch Law & Order reruns they do come in handy. BJ's Sennheiser HD 280 Pro's kick ass but are a bit heavy and get warm over extended times. BJ's older brother (BBJ) has a pair of Bose Tri-Port TP-1's I bought him when they first were introduced. I borrowed them. They were perfect for my needs. Lightweight, very comfortable, surprisingly good sound, block out ambient sound fairly well and are just what I was looking for. I found a newer version, TP-1A, used on eBay for a reasonable price and bought them. I'm quite happy with them. They also came with a semi hard carry case which will be convenient when I have to start chemo treatments again. For more serious listening I would like to look into a pair of Grado's with similar characteristics. I find I don't care much for foam on the ear ear pads like my Koss HV-1's I bought in the 70s.
