Acoustat model 4's
« on: April 02, 2014, 01:42:33 PM »
Need to sell asap as these are just too large for my room and have mounting bills  :'( . I am located 15 minutes east of Erie. These are in very nice condition. Asking $1450 and of course, pickup only. I also have a Robertson Sixty Ten amp that is a great match and in wonderful condition. $800 OBO for the amp. I tried to post pics, but too large. They can be seen on agon or email me for pics.

There are 2 different guys that really want to buy, but in NYC and Conn. I also have a super nice Robertson Sixty-Ten amp, hi-current 200wpc, that works perfect with them. $2K for the amp and speakers.

Jeff -

A thought: consider suggesting to the buyers in NY and Conn that they get a quote from Uship.com.   The buyer of a pair of Infinity RS-1s I sold recently used that service to get them to NY from PA.  I did not have to do much - it is like a moving company run by independent contractors who own moving vans and go around the US picking off and dropping off stuff.  Price was reasonable,  no packing required,  they protected the speakers with blankets and belted them to the side walls of the van.

Well, I just talked to the NYC guy and his "driver". He says he is coming up this evening(7hrs). I kindly asked what nationality they are and he said Nigerian  :o . Obviously, that makes me a little leery. I made sure he understands that CASH only. $2K is a lot of jing, so I am going to go get one of those counterfeit pens to make sure. This is surely a 1st for me and hope it pans out  :)

Hopefully, the deal will go down without "complications".

That sounds iffy.  Be careful.  Let us know how the deal ends up.  :-\

I'd have a small well armed army there as well, you know, to help load the speakers
