Grey goose or Smirnoff. The only time I drink vodka is in bloody marys, so anything smooth works...
I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.

Believe it or not there is a Potato Vodka distilled right here in Pittsburgh;
In Glenshaw, Pa actually... in an old glass factory.

Boyd & Blair is its name and it is awesome.
In distilling, there are 3 parts. The head, the hearts, and the tails.
There are impurities in the heads and tails, but distilleries are known to
include some to increase the production yield.

Not so with B&B. They only bottle the hearts.
It is extremely smooth and has a bit of a sweetness to it.

Just fabulous!

I have never had the B&B yet. I am a Chopin fan. It is another potato vodka and top notch. 8)

They don`t make mine anymore it`s called Double Travosky.  It was taken off the market about 40 years ago after college kids all over the country were killing themselves treating like it was just another vodka.  I`ve have one bottle locked in my safe all these years.  It was a great buy and went a long way, you just had to keep in mind what you were drinking.

Oh ya it`s 180 proof.
Ice cubes would sink to the bottom of your glass in it.

AL and Tom,

That B.&B. that you guy's are talking about sounds quite interesting.......I bet I would like it.
Is it fairly common ? Can I buy it at any State Liquor Store ?

I don't know about the availability statewide, but I know they have it at the State Store inside Giant Eagle on Camp Horne Road for sure.

I'd be happy to pick up a bottle for the next time you are in town.

I like Sky as well.  Only vodka that wouldn't give me a headache if I had too much.  My other favorite is Stolichnaya (good ol' Stoly!)  Reasonably priced and didn't taint the flavor of anything mixed with it (or best served on the rocks).

icravcarver,

I agree with your assessment on Stoli. I probably don't give it enough credit. The more I think about, it is very- very good just having it on the rocks with a couple pieces of lemon thrown in. :P Quite refreshing actually........

I cannot account for the contents of said bottle upon
