Warped albums???

Have a few albums that could use a bit of flattening.  Wondering
if any of you warped folks have come up with a proven
method of flattening albums ?

for actual tried solutions to flattening warped
albums....

Read this someplace, never tried, if you have access to a gas stove that has a pilot flame, versus electric igniter, put an album on a flat surface, cookie sheet or something,  stick it in the oven, do not turn on oven, the pilot keeps the oven warm enough to soften the vinyl. Probably would require some trial and error, and an understanding wife.

Carl's solution (the vinyl flattener) looks MUCH BETTER than mine but...

Many years ago I tried to "FIX" a warped record...  I placed it in the sun for a bit & then placed it between some rigid flat items to "press/flatten" the record...  Do not try this at home as the record turned out much worse than when I started...

Emp, that tune came out in 1984...  I tried my record "FIX" in 1983...     Wish I would have heard that tune...  Never would have let my record in the sun...

I actually have two, maybe three copies of "Growing Up in Hollywood Town".  I like "Dreaming a little more.  It has some of the same songs "The Rose" etc.

My warped records tended to flatten a bit just by storing them tightly.
You usually make things worse when you try to flatten them.
Best thing for them is a turntable that can play them.
Thats why I like Dual tonearms. very light but still stiff and you usually don't hear warps at all.

I have had excellent success tracking warped records with any of the B & O tangent tracking tables (4002, 4004, 8000, 8002 and 5000 series).  With an MMC 1 or MMC 2 cart, you will not notice the warp.

Well yeah B&O turntables have small light tonearms that will track warps but I don't think they are that great sounding.

Actually they will play on the ClearAudio,but the outmost
Band isn't perfect ... Would just like to flatten them lol
