Setup starts early Saturday or Friday as Nick noted.  I think it's going to be fun!  Some nice vintage audio equipment will be there and even better people   :(|)

See you then!   I'm hoping to actually set up a system this year.   Not that I'm complaining, but last year everything was selling so fast that I never did get to set up a demo system.   If any of you guys haven't heard Rectilinears, I want you to.   They look like noting special at all, in fact they look like they shouldn't sound good, but they do.

Pictures.  Seems like I was (AGAIN) the only one that took pictures.  Will post a few here:

I liked these EPI by Dale's table:

And the tables were full of interesting stuff:

The Emptek sub was there (did someone buy it?  I am keeping track of its ancestry from Raynist to me to Carl to JimP...),  and I bought that pair of VTL Compact 80 Monoblocks:

Lots of good vinyl on the floor, great selection,  most in good condition:

Mark's (STAL's) table (I successfully traded Mark an ipad mini and a harmony remote for a bunch of vinyl and a bad ass TOTL VCR,  not ashamed of the latter) :

Mike's table.  I was tempted to go for that shortwave radio:

I documented some shenanigans involving expensive power cords (tsk tsk - do not take naps at the fest!):

I enjoyed my time there,  always good to see the usual suspects.  I understand I missed the best tape deck deals by arriving late (heard a tale that an RT701 went for 20 bucks,  and [allegedly] the ultimate hoarder [OCCD] scored several RT909s from a studio before I could weigh in.  Stuff happens,  what can you do?).

Regards,

I thought they were a bit shrill, but my Bullnose Advents also sounded shrill to me there, so it could have been the room.   Speaker/room symbiosis is so important.

Agree, the garage's concrete floor and walls did not help the acoustics.  We should file a request with the owner to please install acoustic treatments on the walls for next year's event  >:D.

I liked the way the EPIs sounded,  but liked the idea of them existing as a product even more.  Every time I think I have seen every vintage speaker ever, one of these unique designs comes up and quashes that theory.  Never saw that electrostat tweeter before.
