I have a couple of pair... let me know also, the height you need and top plate size.    Is this to use? to keep?
a bunch of nice sounding stuff. Nice that I'm finally able to actually listen to file music for the first time...

Mark-You bet.  Low 80's and dry.

Jim-These stands are for my use.  Something that works with a Boston A-40 or similar 6" 2-way; about 33" or 34" high.

I'm hoping to show up early, but need to bail around noon.

I have a pair of glass speaker stands I'll need to dig out and bring along. With the "flood" and all the crap I've had to do since, this place is a complete mess. If anyone wants some potentially asbestos floor tiles, lemme know! Lime green with pretty flowers, vintage!

When I put a new floor in the bathroom, I just laid it right over those tiles.   Best to just not disturb them.   I don't need to be sucking in any more asbestos than I already have in my life.

That’s what I did 8 or 9 yrs ago. Problem now is the tiles are cupping up around the edges so they need to go. My wife is delivering a sample now for testing. $2k estimate for abatement.

I have a good friend who used to own/run an asbestos abatement company.  Depending on the substance (it was the old 9"x9" floor tiles in my case). the risk from taking them up your self is about the equivalent of smoking a couple of cigarettes.  It's another matter if you do it for a living and are around the stuff all day.  It took me less than an hour to pop the tiles.  Into a heavy duty contractor trash bag they went.

You're gonna need to move some gear on Saturday.

Spent time researching and making phone calls. If the result comes back asbestos in the tile OR the glue it can be done safely. Pump spayer of water to keep them wet, pop them gently and into bags. I’m more worried about the glue or mastic being asbestos as I may need to scrape that to level any bumps and doing that will definitely raise some dust. The other thing is the tiles are curling up around the edges, half an inch on some, not characteristic of asbestos tiles as the were too heavy to do that. My wife found a four leaf clover today, told her we’re cashing that right in.

As for selling gear, I don’t really have anything to offer. Anyone interested in a Maggie Astrosonic solid state console for parts? All was working. I pulled the turntable to transplant a newer table in. Got bored and pulled the table back out. I can bring the whole thing or parts, all free as it needs to go bye bye. If not, it goes to the Upper Saint Clair electronics disposal next weekend.

It seems to me that the answer there is to add some sort of resin to make the surface level rather than subtracting the substance that you are worried about.   Or else tear everything up to the joists and put new sub flooring in place.

I am not selling anything.  However due to moving next week, I am giving away a number of my projects.  Free for parts or repair:

Tandberg reel to reel decks
Yamaha three head cassette deck
Tandberg receiver
Proton all in one (CD/Radio/Cassette)
Teac A2300s factory box
KLH all in one turntable and parts (model 20 and/or 24)
Pioneer SX 626 (parts only)
B&O 5000 system components (parts only)

Most of this gear is in very good cosmetic shape.
Possibly more as I find it.

I am not bringing any of these units home.  If no one takes them, it's off to be recycled

I would be interested in the Tandberg receiver and the KLH.   The Pioneer too if nobody else wants it (I don't want to be greedy).

Here's a short list of some things I'll have to offer:

Sonogy Black Knight MkII amp
GAS Ampzilla (Bettinger reference restoration)
Aikido Noval tube preamp
Cambridge Audio stack (640a v2, 640c CD player (needs door belt), 640t tuner)
Kenwood KR-7020 receiver (recapped)
Kenwood 6100 integrated amp plus tuner
Open baffle speaker setup (Hawthorne Silver Iris plus Eminence bass drivers and upgraded compression drivers)
Pickering 371 stereo cartridge
Audio Technica AT95E stereo cartridge

Maybe more...depends what else I can find and fit.
