Nice topic. It's Friday!

Well, I don't have so much time to watch that kind of things. Most of the people like me will watch on TV who won later. Right now I hear some weird sentences like : No student's debts, no commercial medical care at all. Is it time for socialism or communism in US now?

I have a question to you: Can the person who knows English only translate from English to Japanese (without Google for sure)? Or the person  who knows Japanese only translate from English to Japanese? Or both of them together?
Thanks
 ;)

I'm not interested in riddles.   Right now the student loan system is fascist.   It is public risk for private profit.   Either give the interest back to the taxpayers or let the banks own the risk.   It's not a question of things being "free", it's asking what do we want to invest in, an educated populace or an antiquated bomber?   It really is that simple.

Thanks for your point.
As fresh-baked US Citizen I have been on both sides of the counter and, as Citizen I ask myself all the times for: Who will pay for that? And the obvious answer is WE- you, me and that Joe. Everyone who paying taxes. Do you like 45% of income taxes? Or 10% for the property taxes? Just be prepared for the Socialism.

At other point I have a Master degree in IT related stuff and (funny to say) I took 2 semesters for Philosophy during my university years. Our lovely daughter just graduated from Temple university and yes, she has a BIG debts right now.

That cartoon is a straw man.   The PG should be ashamed.

Thank you to help me expand my vocabulary, especially in urban dictionary. However, as newcomer, I don't clearly understand what's wrong with PG picture. Could you be honest to explain?

On other side, please take a look for the student's debts as derivative of income, take a Russia .vs. America.
Disclaimer: I've never live in Russia and I'm never been Russian citizen. Just some business trips. And I can speak in Russian fluently. Finally, I don't like to insult anyone.

1) the average cost of  tuition in Russian university is about 5k/year. (1st line at Google search and confirmed my friend from Russia). No transportation and living expenses included. The GDP per capita in Russia is $11,288.9 in 2018 by Worldbank data. Seems as  44% of average annual income.
2)  the average cost of  tuition in American (US) university is about $26,290k/year(out of state). (1st line at Google search and confirmed by my family case). The GDP per capita in US  is $62,641.0 in 2018 by Worldbank data. Seems as  42% of average annual income.

The HUGE difference between cost of tuition in America & Russia that is NO FAFSA in Russia and average APR much more than 6%. Moreover, mortgage APR in Russia is about 10% right now (Most of the proof in Russian).

The current situation with student's loans affordability seems much better in US as result.
Just the digits. Nothing BIASED ;)

Sure.   Nobody, especially AOC, ever said that America's border is a concentration camp.   Some people have compared the facilities where immigrant children are kept in cages to concentration camps.   Furthermore, nobody is scaling the walls to get into one of those facilities.   The cartoon is completely bogus.

BTW, the PG had a great cartoonist for a couple decades until they fired him for being too liberal.   Print media is pretty much useless these days with just a few exceptions.   Often times, the best coverage of US politics comes from The Guardian UK.
