The LM210 is a two-way system designed and built by Conrad-Johnson. Each unit has a 6.5" polypropylene bass/midrange driver crossed over to a 1" doped fabric dome tweeter at 1500Hz (both from a Danish manufacturer, reportedly Dynaudio). All internal wiring is soldered (no clip connectors are used). The crossover network uses high-quality polypropylene capacitors and air-core inductors. The enclosure's venting alignment and the crossover characteristics are designed to give the system a Bessel-type response with linear phase shift through the crossover region. The crossover slope is initially a gradual 6 dB per octave, increasing eventually to 12 dB per octave. The bass/midrange driver surrounds are perfect, with no evidence of rot or aging.
The LM210 cabinet is 10?" square and 35?" tall, and weighs about 32 pounds. The woodwork is solid oak in the edges/corners, with flat surfaces of oak veneer over Medite MDF, custom stained and finished with Linseed Oil and wax topcoats. The cable connections on the bottom require right-angle banana plugs. Four threaded/nutted metal spikes for each speaker. No scratches at all on the cabinets (except for underneath the feet), and the fabric covers use snap-in connectors and are in pristine condition. Both speakers are in excellent condition, from a smoke-free environment; I purchased them new in 1989, they work perfectly, and sound great.
