So after nearly a year, I have finally finished putting my system together.
The last component I need was speaker cables.
So after looking around and talking to a couple of people, I ordered some River Current Speaker Cables.
They arrived last Monday, 1st impression of build quality, is very good. Ryan does a good job.
I installed them on Tuesday. Did not do any serious listing but the system sounded different.
Saturday evening, with a nice bottle of Australian Red, I played some tunes. (All VINYL)
Cat Stevens, 10CC, The Who "Tommy", Miles Davies, Alan Parson Project "Eye in The Sky" and Dire Straits "Brothers in Arms" & "Love Over Gold"
What I found was the vocals where rock solid in the positioning and a little more forward than before.
The highs lingered in the air longer, and the lows had more punch and the volume knob did not have to be turned up as high.
All in all a very good upgrade for my system, as I was not using a good cable before (16ga zip cord)
