They are nice players, however the downside is the availability of parts.  Most parts for Teac, Tandberg, Otari and Revox are readily available.  Even for vintage units.  Get your self a Teac A-4300 or a Revox A77.  A very good unit of either of these models can be bought for $500 and less.  I bought an A-4300 at a garage sale for $50.

I agree, I bought my A-4010S for $25 on CL.  It works like a dream.

Reel to Reel looks IMPRESSIVE!!! I haven't heard one since high school, but as I remember the frequency response was alot better than other tape formats. Watching those reels rotate and meters jump....that is super KOOL!!!
