Wanted: Akai 8 Track Deck

Hello,
I'm looking for a nice Akai 8 track deck.. I'm also interested in any car decks, 8 tracks, or anything 8 track that you may want to get ride of.

I've got an immaculate MCS 8 track player/recorder in the box I need to get out and see if it still works. Probably needs belts by now. But...I don't think I can bear to let it go....sorry!!!!

I have three 8 tracks. One is a Heathkit GD-20.  A panasonic with tuner and an Electrophonic with tuner and speakers plus 8 or 9 tapes.  Trade me something . ;D

Is there a reason you want to start with 8 track tape??? Also you specified an Akai. Is this a piece you formerly owned???

Yes I have an Akai now and it's a wonderful unit.. I want to record my own 8 tracks from other 8 tracks to keep the better analog sound... I don't have many records and recording from CDs sounds horrible.. I had a decent CD system in my car and it always sounded flat to me.. Once I installed a good 8 track the difference was like night and day.. Then I found out about how analog is better then digital..
I have a very well made Panasonic8 track component system in my car and I'm very happy with the sound quality...
